The Friends of JDRF will host its 7^th Annual Golf Classic to benefit the JDRF Western Wisconsin Chapter. The event is planned and executed by volunteers and includes eighteen holes of golf at one of the best rated courses in Wisconsin, lunch, silent auction, dinner and fabulous prizes. Each scarf costs $20 plus sales tax and 50% of the proceeds benefit JDRF through the Ride to Cure Diabetes.

4th Annual GIBBS LAKE GALLOP a “Galloping” Success

103 runners/walkers participated in the 4th Annual Gibbs Lake Gallop on Memorial Day at Gibbs Lake County Park. The event began at 8am and participants ran/walked a beautiful 3-mile trail through the woods and meadows of Gibbs Lake.

The event was organized by Amy and Steve Eager and Kitty and Steve VerKuilen as a fund raiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation(JDRF).

Amy, Steve and Prentice Eager along with John VerKuilen, and Andy and Kathy Graham are participating in the JDRF Ride to Cure this year. They will bike over 100 miles in one day. The Eager family will bike in Death Valley, CA in October. The Grahams and John VerKuilen will bike in LaCrosse, WI in August.

Each participant is required to raise money for JDRF.

Diana Henry from WKOW channel 27 will be there serving coffee.

All money from that one hour will be donated to JDRF in honor of Jesse Alswager.

Fourth Annual Open Horse Show to Benefit JDRF

Sunday, June 27 Sauk County Fair Grounds, Baraboo

Cody’s Cruizers will hold its Fourth Annual Open Horse Show to benefit JDRF at the Sauk County Fair Grounds. Cody, a second year student at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, has been a type one diabetic for eleven years. Cody’s Cruizers is made up of a great group of people including many of the Sauk County 4-H Horse Project families. We have a great show bill, a great judge and great prizes, including grand and reserve halter and four high point divisions. We will be holding a silent auction during the show with outstanding items that would interest just about anyone! We are also planning a great food stand. 100% of the profits will be going to JDRF.
