The run/walk begins at 8:00 am sharp at Gibbs Lake County Park(1/2 way between Janesville and Evansville). Come enjoy the walk or run through this lovely park and support the “Ride for the Cure” for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
A free T-shirt is included in your registration if received by May 14. Beverages, snacks and a bag of goodies are yours at the end of the run!

Planet Revels Presents Hoops for Hope

FIRST ANNUAL PRTV CHARITY BASKETBALL GAME
To celebrate the first anniversary of PRTV, Planet Revels is having a charity basketball game to raise money and awareness for the Western Wisconsin Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The game will take place Saturday February 6 at 11:00am at Onalaska High School in Onalaska, WI. It will be the La Crosse Spartans and the La Crosse Skating Sirens taking on Team PRTV and La Crosse Radio Group.
Admission is $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for kids. 100% of the proceeds will be going to JDRF. Admission will be free if you bring a non-perishable food item for the Hunger Task Force.
The event will also include contests, prizes, LOTS of crowd interaction, and performances from T.U.G.G. and Abbey Lane. This will be a great opportunity for the whole family to come out and meet some of the communities newest athletes as well as some local musicians and other artists (besides watching what promises to be an entertaining basketball game).

Camp Horsin’ Around is back! This year’s event is scheduled for Sunday, August 30th, 2009.
And new this year: pony rides for children under the age of seven!

6th Annual Diamonds in the Rough ~ June 29th, 2009

On Monday, June 29th, 2009, the Friends of JDRF, Inc. will host its 6th annual–JDRF Diamonds in the Rough Golf Classic at the Bishop’s Bay Golf Course in Madison, WI. (map) The event is planned and executed by dedicated volunteers who recognize the dollars raised at this event will help JDRF provide more money to diabetes research than any other non-profit, non-governmental health agency in the world.
The goal for the 2009 JDRF Golf Classic is to raise significant dollars to fund research while providing an informative and entertaining event. In an effort to realize this goal, the JDRF Golf Classic will feature:
- Eighteen holes of golf at one of the best rated courses in the state, according to “Golf Digest”
- Fabulous Prizes, Hole-In-One Contests and Exciting Gaming Holes
- Post-Golf Reception/Dinner Buffet

Chalmers Jewelers – Car & Watch Show
